The two public figures my daughter can identify by sight:
1. Barack Obama
2. Harry Potter
She LOVES Obama. We had a couple of election mailers with his picture that she carried around for months before finally destroying (one by taking bites out of it, one by shredding). She thought yesterday was awesome. We listened to and watched coverage of the inauguration and accompanying festivities, and every time he went off-screen she requested "More Bama, pleeeeeeease!"
She has started doing this in the past couple days, drawing out her "pleases" into the begging "pllleeeeeeeaaaaaassssssse?" She's already a little chatterbox (she is totally going to be one of those little kids that will talk your ear off), and now I see we are in for long-winded begging sessions as well.
Right now Ryan is playing Guitar Hero and Piper is totally rocking out to the Toadies' "Possum Kingdom." She went crazy for Nirvana, too. Awesome.
